Q.
How long have you been in business?
A. We have
been in business for over sixteen years in Cabo San
Lucas.
Q. What time do
we leave?
A. You need to
check in at 6:15 am. You will leave our Dock (# 3)
at about 6:30am
Q. What time
do we get back?
A. You will
return approximately at 2:30pm.
Q.
How many people can go on the boat?
A. We can take
up to four people on our fishing charters. This is
due to insurance rules & regulations.
Q. If
we have more than four people, can you arrange
another boat for us?
A. Yes. If you
have five or more people. We can make the
arrangements for a larger boat for you.
Q.
Where do we get our fishing licenses?
A. You will
fill out a form once you are on the boat. The First
Mate will take the form up to the Port Captain and
purchase the licenses.
Q. Where
do we get our live bait?
A. You will
get your live bait from Manuel the “Bait Man.” The
bait will be purchased in the Cabo Marina as you
head out to go fishing.
Q. How much
bait will we get?
A. You will
get ten bait at a cost of $2.00 each. If you need
more. Your Captain will tell you.
Q. One of the people going will not be fishing.
Do they need a Mexican Fishing License?
A. Yes. Each
person on the boat 13 years or older has to have a
Mexican Fishing License. The cost is $13.00 (USD)
Q. Do
we need to bring our Passports?
A. No. Please
leave your Passports at your Hotel, Condo, or House.
Q. Can we keep a Billfish if we catch one?
A. NO!! All
BILLFISH WILL BE RELEASED!!!. There are NO
EXCEPTIONS.
Q.
Can we keep other species of fish?
A. Yes. You
can keep Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Sierra, Yellowtail
and Wahoo.
Q. Can we take fish back to the United States?
A. Yes. The
fish must be fillet and frozen. They must be in an
ice chest and wrapped with Duck Tape. No ice or dry
ice in the ice chest.
Q. Is there someone who will fillet our fish?
A. Yes, we
recommend a company in the Cabo Marina called
Griselda’s Smokehouse. Please tell your Captain that
you want “Grace” to take care of your fish. They
will clean, fillet, vacuum pack and freeze your
fish. Pick up on the day you leave Cabo.
Q. If I get sea sick do we get our money refunded?
A. No. If you
get sea sick, there is no refund.
Q. Is there a discount if we book more that one day
of fishing?
A. No. Because
of continuing rising costs in the Sport fishing
Industry. We can not offer multi-day discounts.
Q. How far in advance do we need to make a
reservation?
A. Because of
the success of our boats, you should make your
charter reservations ASAP. We have customers that
make their reservations over a year in advance.
Q. Will there be other people on the boat with us?
A. No. We do
not put different groups together.
Q. How much
should we tip?
A. You should
tip at least 15-20 % of the charter price. What you
tip will be equally divided between the Captain and
First Mate.
Q. Can
the crew have a beer with us?
A. NO!! The
crew is not allowed to drink any alcoholic beverages
while they are on the boat. If you want to offer
them a soda, juice or water, that would be fine.
Q. Will we get a refund if the weather is too bad to
fish?
A. Yes. You
will get a full refund if the weather does not
permit you to go out fishing. If this happens, the
Cabo Port Captain will close the Cabo Harbor.
Q. Can we get a refund if we have to cancel our
charter?
A. Yes.
Providing you cancel at least a month in advance. If
you cancel your charter less than a month before
your charter date, you will get a full refund if we
are able to get another charter for that date. If we
do not get another charter, you will be charged a
$200.00 cancellation fee.
Q. Can we bring hard liquor on to the boat?
A. No. Only
beer and wine is permitted on the boat.
